I recommend using safety tools for every group roleplaying game. I always at least use the X-card or Script Change, as well as sparking a discussion after the game of everyone's experience. You can learn more about these tools and many others in the TTRPG Safety Toolkit document. This document also covers some further things to consider when streaming or performing a roleplaying game.
